This Fairmont came to us fully ‘repaired and resprayed’. It had some slight blistering under that brand new paint. Upon closer inspection, every panel had this blistering. The blistering was from small rust spots forming under the body filler that had been applied incorrectly. We also found rust had blown out a small amount in some of the typical areas on an XY, and found several other very low quality repairs.

The go ahead was given to start striping the paint and repair the problem areas.  For instance, this seam inside the boot aperture was badly repaired. So it was cut out, and the seam was restored to original state to look as it did from the factory. This is repeated all over the car in all of the rusted or ill-repaired areas.
